Building a Healthy Community Campaign
In 2007, the Kitchener-Waterloo YMCA launched the boldest campaign in its history, the Building a Healthy Community Campaign. The goal is to raise $10M to support the construction of a new family YMCA facility in west Waterloo, the Virtual YMCA program, the Newcomer Youth program and capital and program development at our award winning Outdoor Centre.
Our plans for the future are based on solid research, a careful assessment of current community needs and realistic projections for future demand. At the core of this planning process is the solid foundation of programming based on our mission, vision and our values. These values are important in building healthy lives and bringing our vision alive to have a positive impact on the health of our rapidly growing community.
